Why not.

It is the perfect response to whenever people asked you why did you (and you alone) build something that seems to be going nowhere.

If I build a software with a shitty weird feature and people asked me why I added it, I would say "Why not?".

If I build a multi-million project that is promised to "reduce carbon" when in reality it produces more carbon and people do the same, I would say otherwise.
